Sarah & Callan // Engaged

I’m a little behind in blogging recent work and so you get to see this fun engagement session before I blog their wedding which was just recently!  These two were great fun to work with out along the escarpment up here in the Perth Hills…many laughs were had and some great memories made! #ngg-gallery-62b492a2b593bb9d9642cd9f3f295048 .ngg-pro-masonry-item { margin-bottom: 10px; }View full post »

Jessica & John // Barrett Lane

I first met these two awesome people back when they were part of an engagement call out I did looking for awesome couples in love. They certainly fit the bill and you can see the results of their engagement session here. I was then lucky enough to be selected to photograph their amazing wedding out at the gorgeous Barrett Lane which on this particular occasion was subject to just a small amount of flooding!! This made for some absolutely remarkable, once-in-a-lifetime conditions with the waterView full post »

Sometimes things don’t go to plan…

The recent crazy weather we had over the weekend certainly made for quite an unexpected outcome for two of my February brides!  Who would’ve thought that the second wettest day in Western Australia’s history would fall smack bang in the middle of summer and cause some pretty impressive flooding! You’ve planned for a summer wedding…and yet you end up with very much winter conditions!?! Sometimes this happens and things don’t go to plan as you expect…thisView full post »

It’s ceremony time!!

Last week I wrote a little about the ‘first look’ and before that about ‘getting ready’ and so this week I thought I should carry this on and talk a little about your ceremony.  You’re all dressed and looking AMAZING, it is now time to jump in the limo and head to your ceremony where you will speak your vows to your man, slide a ring on his finger (and he yours) and be declared husband and wife and give him a snog…ahem…sorry…you mayView full post »

Have you considered a first look?

Growing in popularity is the first look which completely turns the traditional timeline for a wedding on its head! Why? Because straight after you are ready we head off to a pre-determined location and have your boy meet us there too! Now comes the fun bit…we make sure that he doesn’t see you until we are ready for him to so we can capture his face when he see’s you for the very first time as his to-be bride! Some serious magic can happen because it is just you two (and me!)View full post »

Claudia & Justin – Wedding

To say that the wedding of Claudia & Justin out at Core Cider House was magical would be doing it an injustice!  Such an awesome day starting out with Justin and the boys at Justin’s parents house followed closely by Jacaranda Cottage in the Bickley Valley for Claudia and her girls.  So much fun was had with these two in and around the orchard and then the night was danced away with the awesome band, Baker Boys.   #ngg-gallery-1fdd5815060f9c6d2b9cdf19c502f5afView full post »

Making the most of your morning

The light slowly filters through the window and makes its way past the curtain filling your room with an ever increasing amount of light.  Knocking gently on your eyes it persists to wake you up…you grab a bunch of covers and roll away from the light, not yet ready to wake up and see what the day has in store for you…BUT WAIT…its your wedding day!!  Your mind quickly snaps into gear, a mix of excitement, nerves and joy all barreled into one.  The day you haveView full post »

The year ahead…

Wowsers…it’s the start of a new year!  2017 is upon us and I am as excited as ever for the weddings ahead this year!  2016 was a ripper year (look out for my year in review blog post in a week or two) and this year is shaping up to be even better! I can’t thank you all enough for being here, reading this and my other blog post ramblings, supporting my small business and helping me live my dream.  I absolutely love what I do and feel ever so privileged toView full post »

Kristin & Justin

I first had the pleasure of meeting Kristin when she was a bridesmaid for Lee-Anne & Stewart’s big day out at the Core Cider House and so I was ever so chuffed when she called me up to book me to be her wedding photographer too! We headed out to a favourite Perth Hills spot of mine with their dog, Eli, to capture some images of them as the gorgeous engaged couple that they are. Super excited for their wedding next year!! #ngg-gallery-3606 .ngg-pro-masonry-item {View full post »

Music: A critical ingredient

In planning any event or party, music is such an important consideration and this is ever so true for your wedding reception.  In my opinion, music can make or break your night – that’s how important I think it is! Now music is such a subjective thing…what you like your partner may not and vice versa.  And what both of you may like may not translate to the dance floor and get your guests dancing about! With most things weddings, where possible I urge you to hire aView full post »
